Abstract This paper outlines the roadmap and the preliminary results of a data-driven study aimed at providing the real-time notification using ambient displays tailored to people having solar panel and home storage battery installed at households. The objective of the research presented in this paper is to manage householders’ attention so that they can adapt to a lifestyle helping them maximise the use of renewable energy.
