Title Can a techno-fix offer the world a global warming breathing space?
Description
 • Is geo-engineering and the use of artificial forests likely to provide a long-term solution to reducing our carbon dioxide levels?
 • Is geo-engineering and the use of artificial forests likely to provide a long-term solution to reducing our carbon dioxide levels?
Dr James Warren. James Warren is an Open University senior lectuter in the School of Engineering and Innovation. His doctorate is in the physical sciences and his main interests are situated in modelling energy and emissions, using applied scenarios, to map emissions of transport systems. By understanding the baseline energy use we can re-design transport systems in order to be more sustainable. I am currently working on various projects looking at public transport and development.
First published on Tue, 08 Sep 2009 as Can a techno-fix offer the world a global warming breathing space?.
