Availability of an extensive amount of information that was not previously accessible, which should stimulate further research in media and theatre studies as well as providing a resource for public use.
The Screen Plays database has now been published in collaboration with the British Universities Film and Video Council, and is available on an open access basis. The url is included below. This publication is of the first phase of the database which when complete will include details of all plays originally written for the theatre which have been produced on British television since 1930. These details will include full lists of casts and creatives, synopses, transmission details and bibliographical and archival information.
