Another recent project (Fergusson, Faulkner, Whitelock& Sheehy, 2015) investigated how school-aged children’s self-directed, informal learning is supported through their use of ICT and Web 2.0.

Together with Elizabeth Coates (Centre for Education Studies, University of Warwick), I recently edited a special issue of theInternational Journal of Early Years Education(2013, 21 (2/3)) that undertook an international account and critique of progress in early years education, care and practitioner development over the past 20 years.
