<p><em>Why do you think you could read music without any training? </em></p>
<p>It was a gift. I was also surrounded by music as a child. I used to listen to Fletcher Henderson, Bessie Smith, Ethel Waters, all the jazz greats. Those were the records my family had. Duke Ellington was another one. I came across his records when I was fourteen.</p>
